Our Team
Owner: Jena Kobeski
Jena is the owner and operator of Walnut Creek Farms. She thoughtfully built the farm to be a combined training facility truly catering to both hunter/jumper riders and dressage riders.
Jena and her daughters live on the property and enjoy training and competing in dressage AND both of her daughters consider themselves hunter/jumper riders. Jena is excited to have found her heart horse horse and earned her USDF Bronze Medal in the course of one season!
Jena is also an equestrian psychologist and is part of the Riding Far Team integrating modern psychology, equine ethology, biomechanics, and the best of classical and contemporary horsemanship.
Trainer: Tamara Todorovic Meister
Tamara relocated to the United States from her native country of Serbia after completing high school. Leaving her family and friends behind, she came on a professional athletes visa with a single goal of expanding her horse knowledge, and gaining more experience at international competitions.
While starting her competition career in the showjumping arena, she has expanded her riding and competing to the eventing and dressage disciplines, competing at the highest level of both. Her experiences include competing at many CCI International Three-Day-Events and CDI International Dressage Competition.
All of the horses Tamara has competed at the highest levels are the horses she has personally trained herself, either starting right off the race track or with horses that were given to her because they were no longer wanted.
Tamara has received her USDF Gold Medal Rider Award in 2013, for achievements at the Intermediate and Grand Prix Level, on a horse she bought for $1. After taking several years off from competing to focus on her family, she is excited to be back in the competition ring.
